Six minute warning is the
club flag.
|

Three minute preparatory
signal is the Blue Peter.
|
 |
Start of race is both
the Club flag and the Blue Peter down.
|
Sound
Signals will be either.
 |
A
Bell. |
 |
B Whistle. |
 |
C Hooter. |
Courses.
 |
Will be shown on the club course board. |
Start
Times.
 |
Sunday:
11.30am - 13.30pm - 15.00pm. |
 |
Junior/Improvers: 14.00 pm |
 |
Frost
Bite: 11.30am - 13.15pm. |
 |
Wed.
Eve: 19.30pm. |
Race
Duration.
 |
All
races will be 1 hour duration, it is anticipated that the leading boat will
finish between 50 and 55 minutes,
positions will be displayed on the race notice board. |
Qualification.
 |
Maximum number of races to
count 50% of total possible. |
 |
No minimum. |
 |
During
one
day events - 2 results to count. |
The
Briggs Bowl, Chevin Trophy, Browgate Paddle, Readman Rudder and The
Arc Trophy.
 |
These are all senior and junior events. |
 |
The junior events are open to all members under
18 on the 1st January 2005. |
Personal Handicap.
 |
A
personal Handicap is to be allocated
to regular sailors by the sailing club committee. |
 |
In practice, only
a small
number of helms will have their handicap amended, others will remain on a RYA
yardstick. |
 |
Personal Handicaps will NOT be
adjusted after every race and will apply for the whole series. |
 |
1/2 year review at the end of July,
amendments will be made depending on results. |
Novice
/ Junior / Slow Handicap Series Races.
 |
Junior/Improvers will race over a reduced
course for 30 minutes. |
 |
(Juniors and Improvers may race on the
main program) |
