The aims and objectives will be based on the following list. This
year, we will be looking to the week being based on a more competitive basis.
This will mean a total commitment from all participants to take active part in
all, on water sessions. Where possible, youngsters taking part will be coached
in their own boats, added skills - spinnaker drill and trapeze work - will
be taught in club dinghies.
An enjoyable SAFE week.
-
All levels of training to
be supervised by a qualified RYA Senior Instructor.
-
Tuition in basic first aid
skills
-
An opportunity to develop
further a sense of team spirit and co-operation.
-
An opportunity for each individual
to practice basic social skills.
-
The space for each
individual to develop their self discipline.
-
The opportunity for each
individual to compete both as an individual and as a team member.
THE PARTICIPANTS WILL BE
EXPECTED TO :-
 |
Participate in all on
water activities to the best of their ability. |
 |
Accept the authority of
all instructors and helpers. |
 |
Share willingly in the
general duties required to run a successful week including :- washing-up,
waiting on each other, cleaning and mopping out. |
 |
Take care of personal
hygiene. |
 |
Be responsible for
personal belongings at ALL times. please
note - clearly marked items help. |
 |
Share in the care and
safety of all. |
Failure to observe any of the
above criteria may result in a child being asked to leave. In such a situation
the fees would be forfeit. Experience has taught us that these simple
commitments can make all the difference to the overall enjoyment of the week. A
deposit of £50.00 is required to secure a place; this will only be returned if,
after cancellation, we are able to reallocate the place.
If you have any doubts
about your child's commitment to active sailing, please contact me before
booking a place.
