Hire Boats

AVAILABLE DINGHIES.

The hiring of Club Boats is open to all members and hire charges will apply to everyone including juniors. 

To be eligible to hire a Club Boat, the hirer must possess the relevant qualifications, RYA Level 2 or prove their level of competence to one of the Club’s RYA Instructors.

We have access dinghies suitable for the disabled - for more information contact norman.stephens@ntlworld.com

The above may be needed for training, in which case they would not be available for hire. TRAINING HAS PRIORITY.

HIRE PERIODS and FEES.

Half an hour is allowed on each side of the session for rigging, de-rigging and stowing.

Terms and Conditions for Hiring Club Dinghies to Members Only.

There is no provision for hiring out club boats to non members.

THE HIRER SHOULD COMPLETE A BOAT HIRE BOOKING FORM AND ENTER HIS/HER DETAILS ON THE BOAT HIRE RECORDS

 PLEASE NOTE PAYMENT WILL BE REQUIRED WITH THE COMPLETED DOCUMENTS

 In respect of the Junior Members, the parent/carer is responsible for the completion of the hire documents and must remain at the Club.

Members wishing to hire a boat must do so in advance.  To do this they must contact a Committee Member, who will note all the details regarding the hire.  They will then contact the Race Officer/Power Boat Operator who will be on duty that day to confirm that this would be in order.  The Hirer will then be contacted to confirm that they will be able to hire on the day.  Help will be given with rigging and de-rigging. 

Should any damage occur to a Club Boat during the hire session it must be reported to Otley Sailing Club’s representative authorising the hire, and the necessary Damage Report Form must be completed with full details.
